MISSION
Emotional Intelligence Institute specializes in live simulation and avatar training, fostering emotional intelligence skills to empower leaders in the Department of Defense, corporate organizations, and first responders to feel equipped when facing complex workplace scenarios.
Our goal was to represent Emotional Intelligence Institute’s brand thoroughly across their custom-built website. Being such a niche industry, our challenge was to help them articulate their services to their customers, who are mainly in the Department of Defense, corporate organizations, and first response teams.

We began this project by addressing Emotional Intelligence Institute’s (Eii) brand identity. Eii came to us with a pretty solid logo concept and wanted us to finesse the icon and typography, as well as direct the palette towards more of a blue and grey scheme.
We reworked the visual space within the icon and refined the line work to be more consistent. Then we paired the icon with a similar sans-serif font that had more of a rounded curvature to work better with the icon.
We began the project with a website strategy workshop to nail down critical elements like page types, content sections, and the tone of voice to communicate effectively with users. The client’s niche nature made it challenging for them to articulate what they do. After creating a sitemap and getting approval, we crafted the website’s copy and presented it in wireframes to show how it would look on the pages.
Once approved, we moved on to designing the pages, including a custom icon kit for their services. Despite the unique challenges, we successfully developed a website that effectively communicates Eii’s offerings to their target audiences.
